Healing Thots Archive Vol #2, 2008 "My Room"
I'm sitting here in "my room." We usually identify this room as my office, although it really deserves a much grander name than office. I have a chair for reading, a wonderful big desk where my computer and its accessories sit, a wall of shelves holding candles, music CD's and more than ten angels of various sorts which have been given to me as gifts over the years. The filing cabinets, that resided in the shop's old location, are now here holding drawers full of natural health information that has accumulated over the years. Sitting beside me on top of smaller filing cabinets, is a large jade plant given to me this summer by a customer. The room is quite full of "stuff" as my husband calls it -- I do like stuff!
No matter where we have lived, I have always managed to carve out a space that is always designated as Priscilla's space. This particular room is by far the most perfect space I have ever had. On October 28th, it became even more wonderful. Where there used to be a window, there is now a door that opens up into my little health shop with the long name, The Healing Adventure.
As I was sorting through boxes and basking in the blessing of my wonderful, hardworking, talented, able-to-build-the-space-of-my-dreams husband, I thought about my mother. She was sure I was making the wrong choice in a husband, but I followed my intuition, and 30 years later, I have never once regretted my decision. Just as Michael has never failed me, neither has my intuition (instincts, gut, whatever name works). When you follow your gut, wonderful things can manifest in your life -- things you may never have dreamed of or recorded on your list of goals. Goals and dreams are very important, and I highly recommend them for everyone. But, I would also like to add that at times the Universe has bigger plans for us than we can even imagine. So while you are working on your list of goals, keep yourself tuned in and remain open to change and unplanned opportunities.
An idea comes to you one day -- intuition speaking -- so you begin to test the idea, follow to see where it may lead you. You proceed with caution because it feels too good to be true, you have faith though and tell yourself if this is supposed to happen then it will. Then comes the patience (the hardest part for me). One thing leads to another and before you know it, the thought, that idea that popped into your head has become reality and you are sorting through boxes, counting your blessings, and wondering if your Mom is out there somewhere watching you and pleased with how everything turned out for her determined, strong-willed daughter.
Blessings,
Priscilla
