Healing Thots Archive, July 2005 Newsletter
This month I feel compelled to ask the readers of my little newsletter, "What are you searching for when it comes to your health?" "What does quality of life mean to you?" These are critical question that directly affect my business and will play a role in determining the duration and success of The Healing Adventure, as well as all the other businesses devoted to your health and wellness. But it is up to you whether you take advantage of the information, products and services that are available to you around the area.
I realize that some people simply are not interested. They are here on this planet until they are not here and they are going to remain detached and unaccountable for what transpires during that time frame -- and that is what works for them. Most likely none of those people have visited the store or will ever read one of these newsletters.
The people I'm addressing with the above questions are those people who know there is something more to this amazing life than simply waiting it out. There really are so many things we can do to feel better, to move better, to raise our energy, shift our emotions, enrich our lives, to move from apathy to ecstasy, but it does require desire, commitment and the toughest part -- Change.
"Change can be grueling, it unearths the very best in us -- our latent courage, patience, humility, determination, empathy, compassion -- so many essential qualities for our continuing spiritual journey." The object of change becomes almost trivial compared to what we can gain from the process. And the harder it is, the more we stand to gain." -- from the book, "It's a Meaningful Life, It Just Takes Practice," by Bo Lozoff.
So many people say they want to make changes and truly mean it, but each day that slips by without action or awareness is one more day that slipped through the cracks.
Our world is changing rapidly, every day -- environmentally, socially, politically, spiritually -- it is no time to be apathetic and unaware. As a community and as a member of the human race, we need to be on top of our game -- to be able to take charge and make the changes needed to adapt in this changing world for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren.
What better place to start than to move away from mind-dulling, costly, and unhealthy habits; from energy zapping activities; belief systems that are no longer working for us and move toward the changes that are going to raise our awareness, improve our health and vitality to be better able to cope with whatever the future holds.
Blessings,
Priscilla
